Creativity dedicated to Space
A dedicated way to direct and encourage pupils' creativity toward problems and activities related to the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes, to seek new fields of application for space research, and to broaden the opportunities for technological space transfer.
The competition will:
- ✓Promote the achievements of world science and technology in the exploration and use of Space
- ✓Acquaint children and young people with the achievements of Bulgarian science and technology in space research and observation
- ✓Develop imagination, creative activity and interest in the natural and technical sciences
- ✓Deepen the socially useful orientation of the work of young mathematicians, physicists, astronomers, chemists and biologists
- ✓Create conditions for well-rounded development by integrating knowledge and skills in science and technology
5 categories for participation
The competition is held at national level. Pupils aged 8 to 19 take part in the respective categories.

Ideas for scientific and technical experiments
Scientific ideas in space physics, astrophysics, chemistry, biology, medicine and more, directly related to the exploration and study of space. Technical ideas for new space instruments, space communication systems, space transport, remote sensing and more.

Models and mock-ups of space objects
Physical models and mock-ups of satellites, rockets, space stations, telescopes, planetary-exploration craft and more.

Essays, short stories, poems and other literary forms on a space theme. Entries must be typed.

Drawings in A3 or A4 format. Judged in two separate groups — for Bulgarian and for international participants.

How to submit your entries
Entries must be accompanied by a participant form (template) and a personal-data declaration (from the participant or a parent), attached to the rules.
The competition is by correspondence in the „Graphic works“, „Models and mock-ups“, „Drawings“ and „Literary works“ categories. In the „Ideas for scientific and technical experiments“ category the jury makes a selection and up to 5 participants per group are admitted to a defence. Travel for the defence is covered by the organisers.
Entries are not returned — after the competition they are handed over to the specialised collection of the National Polytechnic Museum. The organisers may provide drawings and literary works for publication in specialised editions.
