The official awarding of the XXVIII National Competition "Cosmos – Present and Future of Humanity" will be held on 31. 10. 2026 (Saturday) at 13.00 at the National Polytechnic Museum, Sofia, 66 Opalchenska Str.
The national competition "Space – Present and Future of Humanity" is included in the National Calendar for Out-of-School Activities of the Ministry of Education and Science. It enjoys the support of Bulgarian scientists working in the field of space exploration and utilization. It was held under the patronage of the first Bulgarian cosmonaut, General Georgi Ivanov.
The winners in the field of ideas for scientific and technical experiments Maxim Emilov Matev and Samuil Petrov Atanasov from 134 Dimcho Debelyanov High School, Sofia with scientific supervisor Vyara Yordanova will present their work on "Impact of cosmic radiation on DNA". The chairperson of the specialized jury, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tanya Ivanova, will speak on "45 years of the National Space Program "Bulgaria - 1300".

The hosts of the celebration from the National Polytechnic Museum will exhibit a special exhibition with drawings and models of the participants in the XXVIII National Competition "Space – Present and Future of Humanity".
