Recently at the base of SOS Children's Villages Bulgaria in the village of Dren held a non-standard event – Astroparties. It is part of the "Creators of the Future" project, which is implemented with the help of the Evrika Foundation. Let's recall that within this project, the Spring Fair of Science and Professions took place in the same place, which we have already told you about. Then astronomical physicists from Sofia University promised the students that they would show them more of the magic of astronomy in the summer, and they did. The base in Dren gathered children from Sofia, Pernik and Radomir, and themostfrequently heard word from them was inspiration. Among the lecturers was Assoc. Prof. Evgeni Ovcharov, Head of the Department of Astronomy at the Faculty of Physics of Sofia University. "The idea of our lectures is to awaken students' interest in astrophysics. We will tell about the history – more than 130 years old; about the Bulgarian names of space objects as well as the contribution of Bulgarian scientists. We hope that one day we will have colleagues of our own from these children, " he said. The children are wonderful – with an interest in physics and astronomy, and that makes us happy. EvrikaFoundation started its cooperation with SOS Children's Villages Bulgaria 4 years ago on a joint project and since then we have been building it continuously. We will help as long as we can, and whatever we take on and see that it makes a lot of sense, we will not give up. We will continue to work for the sake of the children, for the sake of the future generation that will rule this country.
